Middle East Conflict – Operational Update 11 May 2026 Exceptional Diesel price increase measure (DSV Road) Dear Valued Customer, The current geopolitical situation in the Middle East continues to evolve and creates volatility in the global oil markets, causing surging oil and fuel prices. This development is directly reflected in diesel prices across Europe. These severe market conditions have a substantial impact on the cost base for road transport and have reached a point where many hauliers can no longer absorb the increases without jeopardizing their ability to operate. To avoid operational disruptions and ensure the continuity of our customers’ supply chains during this volatile period, we find it necessary to review fuel surcharge agreements and apply temporary adjustments that reflect the extraordinary market situation. What this mean for you: Fuel and oil agreements with update cycles longer than one month will temporarily shift to weekly update intervals for Groupage and “3 day” intervals for FTL/LTL shipments. As of March 16th, 2025, we have introduced a fuel surcharge of +7,5% on all freight rates that covers the increase up to € 1.80/ ltr. Diesel. In addition, as from an average diesel price of € 1.80 per liter onwards, in the so -called "floating model" the diesel surcharge rises by 1 percent points if the index rises by 0.04 €/lt compared to a base price of 1,80 €/lt. Groupage: The weekly average will be used as index for Groupage consignments in the following week. The average will be calculated each Friday. FLT/LTL: The weekly average will serve as the minimum index for consignments in the following week and will be adjusted based on actual routing, available capacity, and any international fuel price increases that differ from local trends. We publish an up-to-date summary of the diesel surcharge every week.
