5 steps how to prepare your pallets Learn how to protect your shipment from damage, delays, and additional charges with proper packaging and label placement. 1 Stack the packages To achieve a stable pallet, packages are stacked in columns. Optionally, stack using the bricklaying method. 2 Fill up the pallet The goods must not be placed outside the length and width of the pallet. 5 Placement of label As pallets are stacked during transport, place the label on the side, ensuring there are no folds on the barcode. 4 Stabilize the pallet To stabilize the pallet and secure the packages, use straps and/or wrap with plastic. This must be applied around the pallet. 3 The surface of the pallet For the pallets to be stacked, the surface of the pallet must be flat. Pallets with uneven surfaces, which therefore cannot be stacked, will be charged an additional fee.
