Operational notice January 6th, 2025 Heavy snowfall and strong wind are causing delays in freight transportation in large parts of Southern and Central Norway An orange weather warning has been issued for heavy snow and wind, valid from the night before Monday until Tuesday, for areas west of the Oslofjord, the outer regions of Agder and Telemark, and up to the Mjøsa area. For the Oslo region, it is reported that the snowfall and wind will intensify throughout Monday. In addition, a yellow weather warning for snow is in effect for the inland areas of Southern and Eastern Norway, the outer regions of Southwestern Norway, and down to the Swedish border in the south. Significant winds are also expected, causing snowdrifts in these areas, as well as in Central Norway and Nordland. This will pose several challenges to our freight deliveries in these areas, particularly by rail and road. Furthermore, it will have ripple effects on both national and international transport, which will be affected by this weather. Based on experience, we know that there will also be residual delays in freight transportation over the next few days. We are doing our utmost to minimize the consequences of the weather situation and ask for our customers' understanding of the challenging circumstances.
