Senior Business Development Manager Solutions As we look to strengthen our Solutions Division team, we need an experienced, customer centric colleague who will enjoy developing, promoting, negotiating and securing new customers for our company. You will report directly to the Managing Director. The tasks in your role are: Identify and actively pursue new business opportunities and develop new customer relationships; Achieve agreed or given targets/ deadlines as directed by the Managing Director; Identify and meet customers who can become long-time partners by understanding their needs and offering the right solutions; Initiate and energetically maintain contact with potential customers, both by phone and through in person meetings; Calculate and submit warehousing and transport quotations and tenders efficiently and follow up accordingly, within the defined company format; Negotiate the contractual terms for all logistics services; Analyse the sales progress and complete sales reports and customer profile reports in accordance with the company procedures; Have strategic thinking, set the right objectives to continuously develop and improve our services; Participate at trade fairs, seminars, conferences and events; Maintain appropriate knowledge of competition and marketplace activity, reporting back any trends or developments; Always maintain a high standard of personal presentation to enhance company profile. Requirements for the ideal candidate: Bachelor’s degree. Certification in Supply Chain Management would be an advantage; 3 to 5 years business development/ sales experience including solutions & contract logistics; Knowledge of RFQ and tender procedures; Business proposal writing skills and knowledge of warehousing (both operational and strategic); Working knowledge of various costing methods and cost drivers (Fixed/ Variable/ Activity); Ability to communicate at all levels within the business, good persuasive and negotiation skills; Excellent interpersonal & administration skills with accurate pipeline forecasting; Driving success by using initiative, determination & persistence; Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio and MS Project; Advanced knowledge of English language.
