Waiting times, surcharge for waiting times. If during loading or unloading more than 1 hour is spent waiting, DSV will charge the Client, whereby a part hour is charged as a full hour. The cost of loading and unloading with tail lift. The trailers of DSV and its carriers are not fitted with a tail lift as standard. If the Client requires the shipment to be transported in a trailer with a tail lift, DSV will charge a surcharge for this, unless it is part of a groupage shipment. Transit times and departure days Where the Client requests loading and unloading using a tail lift or the shipment of dangerous substances or long items, this may affect normal transit times and departure days. Transit times and departure days may also change due to national or international public holidays or if DSV is required to deal with customs formalities or to take into account certain time frames. The Client must enquire as to the specific transit times and departure dates in order to avoid any delay or late deliver. If the Client does not so enquire DSV shall not be liable for any loss suffered by the Client as a result thereof. DSV will undertake all reasonable efforts to respect the published transit times for the Client’s shipments; however, the transit times are indicative; hence they are not binding. To the extent permitted by applicable law, DSV shall therefore not be liable for any delay in delivery. If DSV however would be legally liable for delay in delivery, such liability shall be limited in accordance with the provisions of the conventions and conditions referred to in article 14. Article 8. Goods in transit insurance If DSV performs or procures the performance of the transportation itself, it’s liability for loss of or damage of the goods in transit is limited in accordance with the conditions referred to in article 14.
